Wet Heat Project produces commissioned and independent documentary films about art and culture in locations worldwide. The company was established in 2008 in Miami by Bill Bilowit and Grela Orihuela. Filmmaker-artist Marilyn Loddi joined Wet Heat Project in 2016.

Our performance films include Trisha Brown Dance Company, Paul Maheke with Sophie Mallet, Michael Clark Company, and a jazz recital by artist Charles Gaines. Our webseries That Happened documented a diversity of 2008-2010 ephemeral performances in Miami including artists Cheryl Pope, Susan Lee-Chun, and Agustina Woodgate.

Our productions have included a longform walk-through documentary of the epic Margulies Collection at the Warehouse with commentary by Martin Z. Margulies; exhibition films and fundraising media for Miami's renown alternative space Locust Projects; the launch and population of ICA Miami's online Channel with more than 25 original films; an ongoing series profiling special exhinitions of renown international galleries in Miami's Design District (including Marianne Boesky, Lévy Gorvy, Galerie Lelong, Salon 94) and a feature film following the meteoric rise of painter Hernan Bas.
